If you’re number one concern is security, nothing beats a hardware wallet such as Ledger. You can also create one manually with the Solana CLI.

With that being said, many people find it cumbersome to manually unlock their device every time they want to make a transaction. In that case, a multi platform wallet such as Solflare or Phantom are solid choices.
